Does Chronic Poverty demand a new future for aid?

In her blog post last night on the Development Initiatives site, conference delegate Judith Randel comments on the first day of discussions:

…”all but one of the development innovations listed by Jo Stiglitz this morning (cash transfers, micro credit, improved cooking stoves, ORT and social forestry) were normal business when I worked at for ActionAid 20 years ago.
So some of the ideas are not new – but they certainly bear being repeated and indeed taken more notice of by politicians and practitioners concerned with eliminating poverty.”
